Happy Saturday!

It is so nice to spend Saturdays with your family. My work schedule is so flexible that I don't ever work Saturdays. My dad came to visit today and we had a really nice time. Bailey got a few more cool birthday gifts! One of her favorite things to do now is to "run" up and down and driveway. It really wears her out! We can officially say that Bailey is FINALLY consistently sleeping through the night. She goes to bed around 8pm and gets up about 7am. When she sleeps well, she also takes 2 good hour naps! I have gotten into the wonderful habit of taking an afternoon nap when she does...:)

...Growing Girl...

I though I would share just a few pics from the past week. Bailey looks so cute in her little dress! We went for her 12month check up today and got a clean bill of health. Our little petite daughter is 25% on her growth chart and walking and talking more than ever. She really showed off for Dr Barnes today with her words..."hi", "dog", "uh oh", and "thank you". Her vocabulary is really growing. She also says ball, of course mama and dada, duck, and book. She amazes me everyday! She continues to eat like a pig, everything from spaghetti to watermelon!

Happy Birthday Bailey...

What am I suppose to do with this?
I am one, you know, I need to use a fork!
I really like this icing!
Okay, so maybe I will use my hands a little.
How cute is my new backpack? Thanks Rickey and Erin...
Our sweet family!
I love my new picnic table. Thanks Mamaw, Papaw, Uncle Doug, Nana Sharon, Scot, and Katie
How cute is this cake? Thanks Shelby for doing such a good job with it...
My own little cake to eat.

Our little girl is one!!! Oh my, where has the time gone? She is so beautiful and such a blessing. She is changing so quickly and amazes me everyday. We are the luckiest parents!

Now a "Little Girl"

I was able to get 2 different things in this clip. First, Bailey loves to "hump" pillows! She must have learned that from her daddy..:) Anytime she is on the couch or bed, she does abdominal moves with the pillows. Next, who taught her how to get down off the couch? She is so smart these days. Tonight she actually hid from me. How does a one year old know how to hide? She laughed hysterically when I "found her". Enjoy!

A Week at the Beach...

We spent last week in Perdido Key, Florida with family. What a wonderful vacation! It was so nice to be able to all spend time together. With just a little drama, everyone had a great time! Here are some pics from our great week...

Playing with Mamaw in the pool!

Martha Wayne and Brian at the Flora-Bama.
The "adults" at the Flora-Bama!
Bailey eating. She was such a good girl most nights out.
My mom and Mark's cousin, Isaac.

Bailey and Papaw on the beach.
Looking at the ocean, not a big fan of the sand!
What are we going to do when the pacifier goes "bye-bye"?
We attempted to walk on the beach. Not such a good plan...
Bailey and Martha Wayne.

Our "Family Pictures" on the beach...

Playing in the pool...In the pool, out of the pool...
How cute in my swim suit and hat.
Trying to make Bailey enjoy the sand. Pretty unsuccessful.
A girl has to have a coverup, too.

All in all, Bailey did great. She did not sleep well, but can you blame her, a pack and play in the closet isn't the greatest place to catch zzzs. The car ride was long but we left early and Bailey slept for a good while. It is always nice to get away, but there is something to be said for coming home. I threatened Bailey all day yesterday about her sleep habits. If she were to cry out, she would just have to cry. Wouldn't you know, she slept all night. Amazing!!! Maybe I should have tried that earlier...:) Hope everyone has a great week.

...A day with Shannon Stanfield

We had Bailey's one year pictures made this week. I cannot believe that she is almost a year old. The time has really flown! I remember those sleepless nights and wished she would just get big, and now she isn't our little baby anymore. It brings tears to my eyes to think about how much joy she has brought us over the past year. Here are some professional pics. How about those blue eyes?

Getting ready for the beach...

We are slowly getting ready for our much needed beach vacation! It is pretty hard to pack with an almost one year old trotting around...:) We are so excited. Bailey is going to have so much fun. We are so ready to see Aunt Martha Wayne!!!

This is Bailey last September prior to going to the beach.
This is Bailey today with the same sunglasses on.
What a face! Not sure she is crazy about the glasses?
We are transitioning over the her "big girl" car seat. Forward facing is hopefully going to improve our road trip!
