Hanging out with the grandparents!

Mark's parents (aka Mamaw and Papaw) came in Friday night for a quick visit. Mark and I went and had a nice quiet dinner. Wouldn't you know, we were surrounded by kids!!! That is always how it goes...:) We all went to Wasabi Saturday night and had a great time. Bailey loves going there! What wouldn't she like about live entertainment, fire, shrimp, and lots of noise. As always, she ate like a pig.

Mommy's glasses...

Bailey was too cute yesterday! She has always liked to play with my glasses, but all the sudden she wanted to wear them. Here is what she looks like!

Playing in Our Bed...

Especially before bed, Bailey loves to get up on our bed and "play". She rolls around and snuggles with her blankets and pillows. I tried to get a picture without the pacifier, but she is really attached to it these days. Her favorite word is by far, "paci".

Bailey has grown up so much it makes me sad. This is a picture back in October of her sitting on our bed. It is hard to believe that she is so big...

Bristol in Knoxville...

As many of you know, my husband and the Bristol Race are not a good combo. At the fall race 2 years ago, he broke his leg. At the fall race last year, the RV he was riding in broke down on the way there. So...when we got ready to go the the Mattis' to watch the race tonight, he felt it would be only right to "dress" as is he were at the race. I really hope this doesn't offend anyone!

By the way, that was the shirt he was wearing when he broke his leg! He loves his mullet wig.
Our big girl dressed in pink.
If I could only get her to keep the bow in her hair...:)

Welcome Sophie Sturgill !!!

Sophie Denton Sturgill arrived in the wee hours of Thursday morning. She weighed in at 6# 15oz. Katie and Sophie are both doing great! Here are a few pics, she is absolutely precious...

Finger Painting...

Well, we attempted finger painting for the first time. Lets just say we will be waiting a long time before doing it again. My good intentions were to get Bailey and Harper to paint some signs for Granddaddy Copp to hang in his transitional care room. In my head I was thinking about beautiful hand prints and words of encouragement. My dreams were quickly destroyed when my child puts the paint in her mouth first thing! Thank goodness for nontoxic, washable paint!
What beautiful colors in such neat placement...
This painting thing is alright, it feels funny on my hands!
Harper really enjoyed it and was able to give me my nice neat hand prints!
Grams loved playing with her grandchildren.
Bath, here I come. I think she had more on herself than on the paper!

Our own olympic star....

So we might not be in Beijing, but we have our own star here. I am not really sure is stair climbing is a sport, but hey, if speed walking is an event, why not! By the way, don't all great athletes have pacifiers? Enjoy...

Congratulations Duane and Melissa!

Mark and I went to Nashville this past weekend for a beautiful wedding. We had so much fun! Bailey stayed home with Grams and kept her entertained!

Brushing her teeth...

So I wasn't quite sure what our first toothbrush experience was going to be like, but it went way better than I thought. Bailey loved it from the moment I took it out of the package! What a blessing. She let me brush and just smiled the entire time. Of course, she then loved to chew on it.

The Swing...

Bailey loves to turn on the music in her swing. In her first months of life, Bailey really enjoyed her swing. Now, it it just a toy. We did put her in it on Saturday. It is crazy how much she has grown. The top pic is when she was about a month old, the bottom pics was yesterday.

Granddaddy Copp...

My Granddaddy Copp is recovering from surgery this week. In an attempt to cheer him up, I took the pictures below. It was just a little difficult to get a 1yr old to sit still, but I got a few good shots! Please pray for him and a speedy recovery!

Bailey is now able to get up and down from her little rocking chair all by herself! It is so amazing to watch her discoveries every day. She is talking up a storm, too. Her new word of the day is "Parker" who we played with this morning.
